Welcome to Sarah Dawn’s Designs

Hello there! I'm Sarah Dawn, a knit/crochet designer, maker, and teacher, who specializes in inclusive and accessible knitting and crochet patterns! Think you can’t knit or crochet? Think again, because, I promise you, you can!

I’ve been designing since 2016, and have designs in several publications, including with Knit Picks, Knotions Magazine, I Like Knitting and Knit Now Magazine.

About Me:

I'm a Canadian, sharing my space in Toronto with two cats and my roommate, all of which might sometimes appear on (or invade) my Twitch Stream! I'm of Welsh descent; and slowly learning the language of my Grandfather -- I can hold a basic conversation in Welsh, so long as no one speaks too quickly!

I’ve has been fascinated by knitting since first learning how to knit at the age of 5, and loving (almost all) of it. When I’m not knitting, I’m (re)teaching myself to crochet and learning how to spin!

And, as a disabled crafter myself, I have a keen interest and passion in making knitting and crochet accessible to absolutely everyone. I firmly believe that any one who wants to create can do so, it's just about removing barriers, and finding the right tools for the job. To that end, my patterns are created to be size-inclusive, with garments up to 4XL and larger, while instructions are always charted and written -- pattern downloads also include a large print version that is compatible with screen-reader software, as well.
